every new day is a brand new battle
stand up tall or you'll be knocked down
choose your words carefully
manage your thoughts or you'll lose your mind
hold your breath for that one message
living on the brink of sanity
can you make it? can you hold out?
don't be the one to break the silence
you must be stronger than the day before
but
you are weak still
you give in still
desperate for some brief connection
losing battles is your hobby
and today is no exception
fleeting wishes dashed again
and you are defeated like yesterday

don't you see the pattern there?
how can you be blind to this one
